Congrats to MPD Captain Cary Gensemer and Sergeant Greg Walker

The Murfreesboro Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of Captain Cary Gensemer and Sergeant Greg Walker from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.

The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction in a total of twenty-two core blocks of instruction and nine elective blocks. The major topics of study include: Management and Management Theory, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources for Law Enforcement, Budgeting, Staffing Allocation and Personnel Deployment.

The Murfreesboro Police Department congratulates Captain Gensemer and Sergeant Walker on this accomplishment and anticipates a variety of benefits to the Department and City.


Past graduates include Deputy Chief Michael Bowen, Major Eric Cook, Major David Hudgens, Captain Nathan McDaniel, Captain Alan Smith, Lieutenant Steve Teeters, Lieutenant Jimmy Puckett, Lieutenant Garry Carter, Lieutenant Don Fanning, and Lieutenant Steve Jarrell.
