County Schools asking for students to refrain from meeting, hanging out in groups

The Rutherford County School System continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation while schools remain closed and school events are cancelled. A new message from schools spokesperson James Evans was sent to parents on Tuesday evening (3/17/2020). The schools are asking that children in all grades don't hang out together or visit with one another...

The first day back in school is scheduled to be on Monday, April 6, 2020. The state has not modified the testing dates for TNReady at this point, but if those dates are changed, we will update parents and students. The make-up day for juniors taking the ACT will be April 21.
