The Smyrna Police Department warns local residents in Rutherford County about credit card skimmers. The electronic devices are used to acquire credit/debit card information from people as they use their cards at ATMs or fuel stations.

Smyrna PD Sgt. Bobby Gibson told WGNS, "We have had several incidents recently and have also seized one of these devices from an ATM."
