It's a sad day for local media. The Daily News Journal has decided to sell their downtown Murfreesboro building. The DNJ has been a part of Rutherford County for 164-years. According to an article in the paper, “The building measures in at 27,300 square feet, while only 5,000 square feet are needed for The Daily News Journal’s business and newsroom operations.” The building is on North Walnut Street near the local square.

As far as where the DNJ will move, that is still up in the air. The article that was released on Thursday afternoon suggested that they aim to stay in the downtown area. The building will be listed with The Parks Group.
