Dangerfield Names Gatorade Player of the Year - AGAIN

For the second year in a row, Crystal Dangerfield has been named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in girl's basketball. She led her team to a 58-54 double overtime win over crosstown rival Oakland for Blackman's second Class AAA girls state championship in a row. Dangerfield was also named the state tournament MVP along with Miss Basketball for Class AAA. She was a finalist for Miss Basketball last year when she won her first Gatorade Player of the Year award. The junior guard averaged over 15 points and five assists per game this season for the Lady Blaze.
