One person died and numerous crashes were reported from a winter snow storm Saturday morning in Rutherford County, said Sheriff Robert Arnold.
Because of the poor driving conditions, Sheriff Robert Arnold asked motorists to stay home unless it’s absolutely necessary to drive.
Sgt. Mike George asked off-duty deputies to come to work to handle the increasing number of crashes.
Communications Lt. Candi McCluskey said the worst conditions seemed to be on Interstate 24 and Jefferson Pike. The traffic fatality occurred on I-24 near the S. Church St. exit.
