Murfreesboro Police were called to 1226 Hamilton Drive to investigate the body of a deceased female being found in a rental unit. Apparently, a property worker went into an apartment to verify if the resident had moved everything out, due to being evicted. Once inside the worker saw a female laying on a bed. The man told police the woman was not moving, so he felt her neck for a pulse. After realizing that she was dead, he quickly called for help.

Emergency workers arrived on the scene and confirmed the woman was dead. However, the cause of her death has not been determined, nor has her identity.

Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department confirmed that an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday (3/9/17).

It is routine for police to investigate any death that is unattended.
