The Arc Tennessee is hosting its Second Annual Hearts Take Flight Pull-a-Plane Challenge at the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport, 278 Doug Warpoole Rd, Smyrna, TN 37167 on Saturday, April 12, 2014, 10:00am – 2:00pm.

The Hearts Take Flight Pull-a-Plane Challenge is a fun, unique fundraising event benefiting The Arc Tennessee, a statewide non-profit of and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, promoting and protecting their human rights and actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

The event pits teams of 10 in a tug-of-war against a Jetstream 41. Teams collect $500 (or $50 per puller) to cover the registration fee, and then take a turn pulling the plane across the tarmac. Teams compete to be awarded: fastest pull, slowest pull or most enthusiastic team. Awards also presented for the individual and team that raised the most money.

Admission:

Free admission for spectators, free parking and open to the public.  There will be concessions and lots of family activities including live entertainment, Kid’s Zone, Emergency Service vehicles to tour and more!
