Dog allegedly placed in trunk of car while man goes into Woodbury drug store

The Woodbury Police Department received a call recently about a dog that was placed into the trunk of a car and the owner was in a drug store. According to Woodbury Police Reports, Samuel Mark Jones allegedly placed his dog in the trunk and went about his business at the Woodbury Rite-Aid drug store.

Once police got there, they made contact with Jones who then went outside and unlocked his trunk. Sure enough the dog was reportedly found in the trunk.

Mr. Jones will answer to an animal cruelty charge in Cannon County General Sessions court November 17th.
