Around 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon (12/28/2017) Murfreesboro Police rushed to multiple living units at 1014 Gunnerson Avenue to answer a domestic violence call.
Officer Amy Norville explained, "When police arrived a male occupant in the apartment fired shots."
The preliminary investigation revealed the original call was due to a verbal argument between a female occupant of the apartment and her boyfriend. The boyfriend had left the scene prior to officer's arrival. The male occupant mistook officer's knock as the boyfriend returning and fired the shots.
No injuries were caused to officers or the apartment occupants which included 2 adult females, 2 adult males and 2 infants.
