Greenhouse Ministries is taking donations of turkeys or money to purchase turkeys for those who can't afford one for Thanksgiving. Some families don't have Thanksgiving meals together because they cannot afford the most basic item that most families enjoy... the turkey. Julie Young with Greenhouse Ministries told us that's not uncommon...

Greenhouse Ministries on South Spring Street in Murfreesboro will be collecting turkeys for less fortunate families in our community. Cliff Sharpe who founded the organization with his wife Jane said that something as simply as a turkey can bring strained relationships back together...

Drop off a frozen turkey on today. The turkeys will then be handed out on Friday (November 20, 2015) to less fortunate families who register to receive one.
