The city's downtown square area has a lot to offer. Now, along with shopping, eating, dancing, painting, playing and more, the area can be considered a walking venue as well.
Stop by and visit the local square on Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as Murfreesboro launches the Downtown In Motion campaign from the Courthouse East Lawn. Downtown In Motion is a health initiative of the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department. Grant funding for the new project has been provided by the Tennessee Department of Health.
During the event on Thursday, you can learn how you can simply walk to reduce your chances of getting Type 2 Diabetes. We are told that everyone can develop this disease and that prevention can be as simple as walking!
