Drive by shooting on Bridge Avenue Tuesday morning

One round from a gun went through a window and then lodged into a sofa, that according to a police report filed on Bridge Avenue in Murfreesboro. The incident was reported at 1:30, Tuesday morning.

The victim told officers that the sound of the gun awoke him from his sleep. When he got up to speak with police, the damage was confirmed. The house was shot a total of three times. The victim stated that he did not know who would have opened fire on his home.

Detectives recovered a total of four spent shells from the street, but an arrest has not been made. The subject who opened fire may have fled the scene in a red Ford Explorer or Expedition, which was seen from the window when the victim woke up.
