A 40 year old Murfreesboro woman was busy putting up her Christmas Tree up when bullets pierced the evening air and shattered her windows. The woman quickly jumped to the floor as another bullet went into the ceiling and a second front window was shot out.

The drive by shooting took place in the 2000 block of Cypress Drive at close to 9:00 Wednesday night.

Police were on the scene within seconds as one officer was conducting a traffic stop when he heard the gunshots. Officers say that the victims car was also shot, but no one was injured.

The case is under investigation.
