Eagleville Football Coach "Relieved of Coaching Responsibilities"

Eagleville football coach Steve Carson was "relieved of coaching responsibilities" by principal Bill Tollett today (Monday).Tollett says the administration would like to see the leadership of the program go in a different direction. He also said Floyd Walker will serve as the interim head coach until a new head coach is hired and all other assistant coaches will remain in place.

Eagleville's football season ended last Thursday at Boyd Buchanan with a 41-0 loss. This year marked the seventh consecutive playoff appearance for the program. The Eagles finished the season at 5-and-6.

Carson, who was an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Smyrna with then coach Philip Shadowens during their back to back state championship, was 53-39 from 2008-2015 at Eagleville.
