Voting in this special election is very important but with we have received word from Rutherford County Emergency Management that our roads are becoming extremely hazardous and therefore in the best interest of the voters and poll officials we do not want to risk bodily harm.

Voters still have 6 days to cast their vote early. The last week of early voting will be conducted next week starting Tuesday, January 16 until Saturday, the 20th. Government offices will be closed this coming Monday, since it is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Farley commented, "Our hopes are that Early Voting will be open on Saturday, January 13th from 8am until Noon. This is dependent on the condition of area roads. A decision to close will be made early Saturday morning."

NewsRadio WGNS and www.WGNSradio.com will let you know that information as soon as it is made known.

WGNS has been receiving calls from listeners, who have tried to vote at previous early voting sites. There are only two (2) early voting locations for this district 14 state senate special primary election: (1) SportsCom on Memorial at DeJarnette Ln., and (2) the Election Commission office on the south side of the Murfreesboro square.
