The Goodwill Career Solutions center at 2955 S. Church St. in Murfreesboro will host a job fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, for at least eight employers seeking to fill more than 470 positions in Murfreesboro, La Vergne and Smyrna.
Employers include Kroger, Magnus Construction Services, Malace HR, Masterstaff, Plant Partners, Safari Inn, Speedway LLC and Flood Brothers. Openings include online shopping selectors and online shopping attendant, plant manager, pack out staff, floor supervisor, warehouse, forklift, inventory control, merchandiser, housekeeping, cashier and other positions. Rates of pay reach $16 per hour.
Representatives from at least five of these employers will be on-site and interviews are possible, so job-seekers should dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring a resume, photo ID and their Social Security card or birth certificate.
Last year Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee conducted more than 2,000 job fairs, contributing to its mission of providing job training and employment opportunities. In 2015, the not-for-profit assisted 36,081 people across the 48 counties it serves, helping 15,412 of those find jobs.
