What is often called the "Super Bowl of Elections" is Tuesday -- the presidential election. Here in Rutherford County, election administrators have been working hard to make sure the county's 49 precincts are prepped and ready to go.

If you weren't among the over 79-thousand Rutherford Countians that took advantage of early voting, polls will open from 7am until 7pm Tuesday.

Aside from the presidential election, locals will have on the ballot Tennessee General Assembly races, the 4th Congressional District race and voters in La Vergne, Smyrna and Eagleville will have municipal races.

In anticipation of high voter turnout on election day, Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County Schools will be closed Tuesday. Many of their schools are used as polling locations.

If you are unsure of where to vote, you can check out the Rutherford County Election Commission's website (election.rutherfordcountytn.gov) or call 615-898-7743.

NewsRadio WGNS will have complete election coverage, beginning at 6pm as polls close on the East Coast. CBS News Radio will cover the national picture while Bryan Barrett and Bart Walker will have the local numbers throughout the night. Coverage is brought to you by Claiborne and Taylor Insurance, Toot's Good Food and Fun, Wilson Bank and Trust and Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
