Election day is Thursday. It's the state and federal primary along with city and county general election.
Voters have the chance to cast a ballot in contested primary races for U.S. Congress, 4th Congressional District, State Senate District 14, State House Districts 34 and 49.
Plus, the county general election features a nine way race for a newly created Rutherford County General Sessions Judge, Part IV along with contested races for Road Board in Zone 3 and School Board, Zone 6.
Murfreesboro citizens will have the chance to vote between five school board candidates seeking four seats while the City Council has three people running for three seats.
Voters will also have a chance to vote on judicial retention questions concerning Tennessee Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals judges.
