Last year on October 22, Doors of Hope launched the "Firefly Supper," their inaugural fundraiser. This event by all measures was a resounding success, with a wonderful turnout of guests, delicious food, locally sourced and prepared by local chefs, and picture perfect weather.

Doors of Hope was thrilled last year to exceed their fundraising goal, and they are now poised and excited to host the Second Annual Firefly Supper for 2016, this year to be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Community support will enable Doors of Hope to continue to grow their program and to make a real difference in the lives of men and women being released from incarceration. As you may know, Doors of Hope volunteers and staff members walk with clients as mentors and encouragers while they journey towards wholeness in recovery. Volunteers are dedicated not only to helping them rebuild their lives in a positive way, but to reduce recidivism in Rutherford County. The guidance, accountability and structure their program provides is doing just that.

The event is again being held at the picturesque Barn at Stonegate Farm, 714 Floraton Road, off John Bragg Highway. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by supper served at 7:00 p.m. It will be a farm-to-table meal, prepared by talented local chefs Mitchell Murphree of Five Senses, Tom Goodner and Michael DeChirico of AdamsPlace, Brett Correiri of Mafiaoza's in Nashville, and amateur chef (with a strong local following!) Michael O'Bannon, pastor of First United Methodist Church.
