Another week of the Rutherford County Farmer's Market brings more classes as well.
On Tuesday, Extension agent Carla Bush will be presenting a Seasonal Eating class with a focus on honey and sweet potatoes. Learn about the selection, storage and preparation of sweet potatoes. Use honey to enhance flavor and create new side dishes.
Then on Friday, Susan Welchance, a local beekeeper, will teach how to transform beeswax cappings into lip balm, rich hand creams, candle making and other products.
All classes at the Farmer's Market are open to the public, are free and start at 9 a.m. They are held in the Lane Agri-Park Community Center.
