One is dead following a head on crash that occurred on State Route 840 in Rutherford County. The accident occurred near West Jefferson Pike on 840.
The collision led to several other wrecks happening at around 7:15, Thursday morning near mile marker 61. Two Life Flight Helicopters responded to the scene to transport accident victims to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
No identities were immediately released.
