Fatal Motorcycle Accident on South Church Street Sunday Evening in Murfreesboro

WGNS has more information on the motorcycle accident that occurred this past Sunday afternoon in Murfreesboro. The wreck happened on South Church Street in front of the main entrance to the Indian Hills subdivision.

An accident report shows that 26-year old motorcyclist DeMorris Webb was traveling towards Murfreesboro and attempting to turn right into Indian Hills when the wreck occured. As he was turning, a car in the oncoming lane failed to yield to Morris and allegedly pulled into his direct path. Webb locked up the brakes on his bike and laid the bike over and slid into the side of the oncoming car being driven by 33-year old Ashley Heironimus from Bell Buckle.

The Christiana resident who was driving the motorcycle was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and later flown by Life Flight Helicopter to Vanderbilt where he was pronounced deceased. As of Tuesday afternoon, charges have not been filed against Heironimus.

We have confirmed that Webb, who was not listed as the owner of the motorcycle he was operating, was driving on a revoked license.
