A woman was killed and a child was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Christiana.

The crash occurred around 8:30 Saturday evening (5/19/2018) in the 8000 block of Panther Creek Road (highway 269, near mile marker 8).

The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the victim as 24-year old Lindsay Brogdon of Rockvale. Reports indicate the woman was driving at a high rate of speed, her vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert and then rolled several times before coming to a stop.

The THP adds that Ms. Brogston was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. A child in the car was hurt, but was in a safety device.
