Two people were killed and two injured in a traffic crash in downtown Woodbury Tuesday (10/22/19). The accident happened around eight Tuesday morning near the intersection of State Route 53 and East High Street in Woodbury.

Cannon County Sheriff Darrell Young said in addition to the two fatalities, there were two injuries. The injured were transported to the hospital.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol's critical incident team is working the crash, as is common with many fatal wrecks.

Some roads around the crash had to be closed throughout the morning.
