A woman facing murder and drug charges in Georgia was charged Friday with felony possession of marijuana and Ecstasy after a traffic stop on Interstate 24, a Rutherford County Sheriff's supervisor said.

Driver Jaimie Fajardo, 37, of Tucker, Ga., was charged with felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of a Schedule I drug by Sgt. Shawn Applegate of the Interstate Crime Enforcement unit. The high grade marijuana carried a street value of $30,000.

"Ms. Fajardo was out on bond in Fulton County, Ga., as she had been charged in May 2014 for murder and in early June 2014 for felony cocaine and marijuana possession," Sgt. Applegate reported.

Passenger Andre Williams, 18, of Stone Mountain, Ga., was arrested on the same charges.

Lt. Kenneth Barrett and K-9 Becky walked around the vehicle driven by Fajardo. Becky alerted to drugs that resulted in the discovery of one pound of marijuana and more than one-half pound of MDMA powder.

They were booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where they are being held on $250,000 bond set by General Sessions Court Judge Barry Tidwell.

A hearing is set Feb. 9 in General Sessions Court.
