"Fenton Payne & Fred 5K" A Huge Success

The  10th annual “Fenton Payne & Fred 5K”, honoring Dr. Fenton Payne Hardison and Dr. Fred R. Lovelace was a huge success. It was 72-degrees when the pistol fired at 7:00 o'clock and started the race on Saturday morning, (8/10/2013).  Race Results at bottom of this story.

Participants in the 5K Run/Walk enjoyed new scenery this year. It started at MTSU and headed down Old Lascassas Pike to Gold Valley Drive. Runners then proceeded to North Rutherford Boulevard, then to Greenland, a jaunt through Scotland Acres and back to MTSU.

Proceeds from this year's Fenton Payne & Fred 5K benefited the Blue Raider Athletic Association, the Primary Care and Hope Clinic, and the Kid's Fun Run helped Special Kids.
