Final Week of Season for Farmer's Market

It's the final week of the Rutherford County Farmer's Market for the season. The Farmer's Market will take place Tuesday and Friday. There will also be classes this week. On Tuesday, the subject is "pumpkin time" while Friday's class is about making your own potpourri. The classes will begin at 9am.

This upcoming week is the final week for the Farmer's Market this season. We do want to thank everyone for their support this year. It was a tremendous season!

Here are the weekly classes at the Farmer's Market for the upcoming week:

The Rutherford County Farmer's Market has free classes that begin at 9 a.m. in the Lane Agri-Park Community Center each Tuesday and Friday while the market is open. The Lane Agri-Park Community Center is located at 315 John R. Rice Blvd.

This week's classes:
October 28
"Pumpkin Time" is the topic on Tuesday, October 28. Impress your family & guests with these elegant pumpkin & winter squash recipes. This is presented by Pat Whitaker, Rutherford County Extension Agent.

October 31
On Friday, October 31, the topic is "Make Your Own Potpourri." This class starts at 9 a.m. as well and will be given by Certified Master Gardener Linda Lindquist. Potpourri freshens your home naturally. It makes great gifts too!

Fall Fundraiser Week 2 continues this Friday, October 31st
Farmers' Market Fall Fundraiser has selected two of Rutherford County's most vital non-profit organizations: Read To Succeed and United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. We'll be serving bowls of an assortment of soups from 10am to noon. Purchase a bowl for $3 or with dessert for $5. Proceeds will be split between these hard-working groups.
