Focus on the Boro Photography Contest - Submit Photos Now

Focus on the Boro, a community-wide photography contest and exhibit, will be on display in the City Hall Rotunda from June 3 - July 5, 2019. You can submit your photos between now and May 3rd at the Murfreesboro City Hall inside the rotunda at the entrance.

The purpose for this photography event is to inspire the community to get out and take pictures, experience a fun and friendly competition, and have the opportunity to exhibit and enjoy photography.

The competition is open to photographers of all ages, styles, and experience levels who live in Rutherford County. Each photographer may submit up to 3 images in any of the categories.

The categories include:

• People,
• Landscape,
• Still life,
• Animals,
• Flora,
• Architecture,
• Sports/action,
• Abstract/special effects,
• Murfreesboro

Note: there will be separate awards for youth (17 and younger) and adults.

Submission Period - April 1 - May 3 Drop Off Images in the Rotunda at City Hall times

EXHIBIT DATES: June 3 - July 5 - inside the Rotunda at City Hall, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A June 14th Reception will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., in the Rotunda at City Hall. Photographers can later pick up their images they submit on July 5th.

First round entries will be uploaded through from April 1 through May 3.

Finalists will be notified by May 6 and then will print and mount their images to be turned in on June 3. The artwork will be on display from June 3 - July 5 for the community to view. All exhibits in the Rotunda are free and open to the public for viewing between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Rotunda Gallery of City Hall is located at 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
