Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested former Antioch High School teacher Jerome Dooley, 40, at his La Vergne residence on a grand jury indictment charging him with sexual battery by an authority figure against a 17-year-old female student.

Sex Crimes Detective Chuck Fleming began an investigation of Dooley in September of last year after learning that the victim had disclosed to an assistant principal that Dooley had inappropriately touched her while she was in Dooley's classroom. Dooley was immediately suspended from the school.
