Former Murfreesboro Assistant Fire Chief Accepts New Position with County Fire Department

The Rutherford County Fire Rescue department has announced the addition of former Murfreesboro Fire Department Assistant Chief Ken Honeycutt to their staff. Honeycutt is the New County Fire Marshal and holds the rank of Assistant Chief.

You may recall the name of Assistant Chief Honeycutt, he was recently in the news after he retired from the Murfreesboro Fire Department. Honeycutt has 34 years of fire service experience in Codes, Suppression and Fire Education.

We are told that he will be heading up the Fire Prevention and Education programs in the Rutherford County School System. Honeycutt will also be working with the County Codes department to ensure that all commercial buildings have the correct fire flow requirements. The assistant chief will also be working with CUD on water supply issues in the county.
