What appeared to be a credit card skimmer was located on a gas pump at a South Church Street gas station. The skimmer was found by a store employee at the Kangaroo Express across from Indian Hills Golf Course and neighborhood.

The small skimmer was removed from pump five and later collected by Murfreesboro Police as evidence. However, there are no known suspects at this time.

Card skimmers grab data off the magnetic strips of cards used at the time of checkout or payment. The skimmers attach over the real credit card terminal, which make them hard to spot.

It has yet to be determined if any customers have fallen victim to the scheme at this time in Murfreesboro.
