(MURFREESBORO) FREE COVID-19 drive-through testing will be available to everyone from 9:00AM-noon this Saturday (4/18/2020) at the Rutherford County Health Department (100 W. Burton St.).

In the past, the test was only available to persons who showed signs of the disease (coughing, fever, shortness of breath). However, this Saturday's drive-through at the Health Department is for anyone who feels that they may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or are not feeling good and want to make certain that they don't have the coronavirus, and of course to persons in high-risk positions such as emergency responders and those in the medical profession.

Depending on the volume at the lab, results are expected within 72-hours.

Again, the drive-through is this Saturday from 9:00AM-Noon at the Rutherford County Health Department. No appointments are necessary, and the person being tested does not have to be a resident of Rutherford County.
