About 450 disabled students from Rutherford County and Murfreesboro city schools will compete Oct. 28-29 at Smyrna Bowling Center.

Special Olympics Co-Chair John Harris said the community supports Special Olympics athletes.

"It is an important opportunity for the community to support individuals with disabilities to participate in sports' competitions," Harris said.

Co-Chair Lou Paschall said diners will find envelopes on the table for Area 16 Special Olympics' bowling tournament. Diners may also buy Special Olympics T-shirts donated by Toot's.

"Wings and Rings is family friendly entertainment," Paschall said. "We have a great partnership with Toot's and the SROs."

General Manager Justin Gilreath at Toot's in Smyrna said the restaurant will offer a Wings and Rings special of 10 wings and a half order of onion rings for $5.99.

"Toot's has always been community oriented," Gilreath said. "This helps out a good cause. It's the right thing to do."
