A man in Georgia learned about Murfreesboro in a not so friendly way. The 58-year old man notified Murfreesboro Police after it was realized that someone had been using his checkbook at Best Buy in the Avenue Shopping Center. Unknown persons spent over $1,300 out of the Georgia mans’ account. They also went to Staples and spent $362. Apparently, they worked up quite the appetite because the check writing ended at Kroger with a $213 bill.

At this point, no arrests have been made. Police are looking into the matter.
