Was one of your new year’s resolutions to make a difference in someone’s life? Are you looking for a place to volunteer in our community?  Read To Succeed will be hosting a volunteer training on Tuesday, January 28 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Lon Nuell Literacy Center in First Baptist Church. Dinner will be provided.

Read To Succeed is looking for volunteers to help with family literacy and adult literacy programs as well as with special events throughout the year.  Volunteers can help in a variety of ways.  They can train to be a one-on-one tutor in the Adult Literacy Program, help teach English as a Second Language classes, serve food or pass out books at local schools during Read To Succeed Family Literacy events, and help spread the word about Read To Succeed’s many free services and programs at events in the community. Participants will be given information about each of these programs and all the events that require volunteer help.  If you have volunteered with Read To Succeed in the past or you are looking for a new volunteer opportunity, you are encouraged to attend this training.
