Late last month, a request for a new trial filed by Charles Godspower was denied by Judge David Bragg in a Rutherford County Courtroom. Godspower is the man who pleaded guilty to second degree murder and attempted first degree murder after killing one woman and seriously injuring a second in Rutherford County in 2011.

Godspower shot and killed Briana Brown, the mother of his child and Browns mother Diana Glover. Brown was only 16-years old when she first became involved in a romantic relationship with Godspower, who was 32 at the time. The man was found guilty in 2013.
