This year, a portion of every $25 flu shot given by Reeves-Sain Drugstore was invested in the local community through the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. The final investment in the community was $2,500.

Lori Sain Smith said, “We chose United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties as a community partner for this flu season.  This organization is such an incredible force in our community.  Their leadership is impressive in their accountability, transparency and impact.  Therefore, it just made sense for the Reeves-Sain Foundation to partner with a philanthropy that has such great history and momentum in changing lives and supporting so many organizations.”

“The flu-shot program is a great example of the power of partnerships in our community,” stated Meagan Flippin, President and CEO of the local United Way. “Not only was Reeves-Sain able to develop one of their many services into a positive impact on the community, the flu-shot service supports United Way’s impact area of health.”

Reeves-Sain’s investment will be used to impact the areas of education, income, health and rebuilding lives through the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties’ partner programs and initiatives.
