Karen Kim's recordings as a founding member of the Parker Quartet from 2002 to 2012 include the complete string quartets of György Ligeti, which received the 2011 Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance.

With the Parker Quartet, Karen Kim also received the Grand Prize and Mozart Prize at the 2005 Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition.

"We will open the program with the colorful and virtuosic 'Sonata for Violin and Cello' by Maurice Ravel," MTSU's Christine Kim said. The pair will then be joined by Nadgir for Johannes Brahms’ "Piano Trio No. 2 in C Major, Op. 87."

"We are excited to welcome Karen to our campus," Christine Kim said. "It is not only artistically rewarding to work together, but it is also very personally fulfilling to collaborate with my sister."
