Greenhouse Ministries was started by Cliff and Jane Sharp in 1999. The Murfreesboro residents along with volunteers and staff help to serve the less fortunate in our community. They do everything from providing food to offering basic emotional support during times of crisis. That being said, Greenhouse Ministries is growing.

Greenhouse recently purchased a plot of land on Academy Street behind their current structure which will serve as their future location of a new 3 story building. Once built, all of the Greenhouse services will be under one roof.

Julie Young who works for Greenhouse Ministries told WGNS the land is now paid for and they will hold a note burning ceremony on Thursday (2/18/16).

Again, the land has now been paid in full, so the next step will be to raise funding to pay for a new building.

Note:

A special ceremony to celebrate the land being paid for will take place at 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 18, 2016. The public is invited to attend. The event will be on Academy Street at the State Street intersection behind Greenhouse Ministries.
