Greenland Drive Strong Armed Robbery

Murfreesboro Police make a quick arrest after a strong armed robbery on Greenland Drive. Murfreesboro Police Officer Klint Hill reports the 49-year old victim was walking home from a nearby store around 11pm Sunday when he was approached by a man asking for pills.

The victim says that's when 18-year old Dakentis Harris of Harrison Drive pulled something from his front pocket and pointed it at him. Harris allegedly reached into the victim's pocket for pills and when he didn't find any, fled.

Officer Phillip Simpson minutes later made contact with Harris at Harrison Avenue and Sloan Street since he matched the description given by the victim. Harris was positively identified by the victim and was arrested for robbery. He'll be in General Sessions Court February 9th to answer to the charge. Bond was set at 55-hundred dollars.
