The Annual Greenway Art Festival is at the Old Fort Park this Saturday from 10:00 in the morning until 4:00 that afternoon. The event features a variety of works from area artists, food for every taste and trailside musicians. The event is hosted by Friends of the Greenway.

Artists will be displaying and selling their works along the trail: oils, acrylics, watercolors, pottery, silversmithing, sculpture, glass and more! There will be musicians on the stage, and food vendors and activities for children will make this an artistic outing for the whole family. Free to attend; please remember most of the artists cannot take credit cards.

"It's just a cool event. You're on the banks of the historic Stones River, tucked in amongst the trees and accompanied by an array of talented artists. The Greenway Arts Festival is a unique experience and something I enjoy participating in each year."- Artisan Don Sharley

This Saturday's event is filled with music. From 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. it's Josh Culley and David Coe, a popular Nashville-based Irish duo with a repertoire of songs dating from the 16th century to the present.

The O’Donnell’s, a father and son duo, fill the Greenway with music from noon to 2:00 p.m. They bring a combination of musical influences together to create an honest and refreshing new sound.

Rik Gracia plays the classics from the 50’s to the 80’s from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Old Fort Park is located at 1024 Golf Lane, Murfreesboro, TN. For more information, please contact Melinda Tate at 893-2141 or email mtate@murfreesborotn.gov.
