Murfreesboro Police were able to successfully serve several felony warrants this past weekend after arriving at a South Church Street hotel only to find syringes on the back of a toilet and Opana (Oxymorphone) in the room. Oxymorphone is a strong painkiller prescribed to patients often in hospitals. It is in the same class as Oxycodone and Hydromorphone.

Officers report that at first, Janey M. Murry refused to tell them the truth about who she really was. It didn’t take long for police to rightfully ID the suspect after finding her social security card in her purse. It was even easier for police to nail the suspect for allegedly selling narcotics. They simply looked through her cellphone where they say they found confirmation of drug selling activity. The reporting officer wrote, “I asked Ms. Murry if she sold Opana and she confirmed she did.”

In addition to the Oxymorphone (Opana) found in the Vista Inn room, police also located Buprenorphine, which is a form of painkiller.

Murry, who is from Auburntown, Tennessee, was charged with aggravated burglary (served warrant), criminal impersonation, possession of drugs for resale, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, and theft of property (warrant). The culprit was placed under a $26,500 bond and will appear in court on June 27, 2013.

Reports indicate a man by the name of Adam Winfrey was also arrested with Ms. Murry. In fact, the police reports showed that Winfrey is the one who allowed officers into the room to search for illegal items. Winfrey was charged with possession of a legend drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Sheriff’s Office shows that he also faces felony drug possession charges for alleged resale purposes. He too will appear in court this June. Neither of the two suspects have come up with the cash to make bond and therefore are still behind bars (as of Monday evening, 4/30/13).
