A 62-year old Harrison Avenue man's death has been ruled a homicide. Murfreesboro Police Detective James Abbott reports Dennis Kado was found June 2nd at his home, sitting on the toilet, leaned up against the wall. His son, 23-year old Jacob Kado called 9-1-1 to report finding his father, saying he thought he may have suffered a heart attack or stroke.

Detective Abbott reports Dennis Kado was found to have a swollen area on his forehead and bruising. He was taken to St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, where he had emergency surgery but died two days later. Dr. Adel Lewis with the Tennessee State Medical Examiner's Office did an autopsy last Friday and reports Dennis Kado died of blunt force trauma and the death was ruled a homicide.
