Help Sought for Family of S. Church Street Crash Victim

The family of Jessica Campos, who was killed in the crash on South Church Street following a police pursuit, is asking for the public's help.

A GoFundMe page has been set up, with a goal of raising 10-thousand dollars, to help the family in this tragedy with funeral expenses. Campos, whose seven-month old daughter survived the crash, also leaves behind her husband, Edgar, and a seven-year old son.

Campos was laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetary Wednesday after funeral services in Antioch.

Garieon Simmons of Dechard is in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center facing charges of vehicular homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, driving on a revoked license, resisting arrest, violation of probation, and being a habitual motor vehicle offender as a result of the police pursuit and crash.
