Students within the Murfreesboro City Schools are learning with a fun hands on project this month.

As part of the Tennessee STEAM festival, Hobgood Elementary students are simulating a refugee supply drop with an egg drop prototype. The children have designed a container that protects the contents (the egg) from being destroyed from the drop. They will practice at three different heights: counter, 12 ft ladder, and the roof of the school.

The eggs that survive the roof, will go up in the helicopter and be dropped to see if they survive.

This learning event will happen on October 16th.
