Homeless Man Allegedly Pulls Out Gun After Reported Shoplifting Incident

Workers at Walmart on Old Fort Parkway had their hands full this past Saturday when an alleged shoplifter reportedly pulled out a handgun when he was approached by two loss prevention workers.

Suspect Alexander Webb, who is homeless, was accused of pulling out the handgun when the loss prevention workers attempted to stop him on his way out the door. The subject, who is believed to have stolen meth making materials from the store, was charged with violating his probation, aggravated assault, theft, promotion of meth, evading arrest and felony possession of a prohibited weapon.

For now, the 25-year old has a bed to lay his head at night in the county jail. He will remain in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center until his first scheduled court appearance on September 12th. After that court appearance Webb will be transferred to Cannon County where he will face felony charges for violating his probation.
