Homeless Man Assaulted

A homeless man was reportedly assaulted early Sunday morning on Medical Center Parkway at I-24. The victim told Murfreesboro Police while holding a sign for money, a white male in his mid-20's, pulled up in his pickup truck. The suspect then got out of the vehicle, yelled at the victim to get a job, then assulted him. A passenger in the vehicle, according to the victim, got out of the truck and fled on foot. After the assault, the suspect got back in his truck and fled. The victim did say the suspect appeared to be intoxicated. According to the police report, the victim had injuries to the right side of his face and a jammed finger, but refused medical attention.
