On Wednesday, a Honda Accord parked outside of a local business was stolen. Police responded to the scene at 621 South Church Street near Broad where the car was taken at about 9:30 in the morning.  By 10, officers spotted the car driving NW Broad Street near East Main.

Police pulled the subject over and confirmed the car was stolen. As for why Danny Wayne Collier allegedly stole the car… it is not known. Records do show that the 26-year old should not have even of been driving. In addition to a theft charge being filed, he was also charged for a second time with “Driving on a Revoked License.”

This is not the first time Collier was arrested. In March of this year he allegedly evaded police while driving a Ford Mustang. In that case he was charged with theft and driving on a revoked license. See that past story HERE.

As of Thursday morning, Collier was still behind bars at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. He will appear in court on October 8, 2013 at 8am.
