Hotel Bill for State Lawmakers Pulled

A bill which would have allowed state lawmakers who live within 50 miles of Nashville to be reimbursed for occasional hotel stays in the capitol city was pulled and will not be taken up this year.


The bill's sponsor, House Majority Leader Glen Casada, says he doesn't often finish his work until late in the evening and has to be back by seven the next day.

It was back in 2013 that state lawmakers nixed hotel reimbursements for those living close enough to the State Capitol to drive back and forth.
